Mugoli Samba

Bio

Mugoli Samba is a reporter with The Globe and Mail, based in Toronto. She previously spent a year reporting for Radio-Canada's British Columbia bureau. Her words have also appeared in The Windsor Star, Broadview Magazine, and The United Church Observer, and have earned her a National Magazine Award nomination in 2019. Mugoli is from Ottawa, and holds a double major in journalism and African studies from Carleton University. She is fluently bilingual, and has a strong background in communications, social media coordination and event organizing. She loves breaking from the daily news cycle to tell stories that ground events in social and historical contexts.
