Celeste Ceres

Equal parts creative and analytical, I’m a recent marketing and finance grad whose professional and personal work has revolved around advancing economic and social opportunities for marginalized populations. As a writer for platforms like EARMILK, SHIFTER Magazine, and ADVANCE Canada, I am highly invested in telling stories with authenticity and credibility that shine a light on the Black experience in the entertainment industry. I have spent the last decade in a number of community-building capacities – from leading programs for newcomers to Canada, to planning civic engagement events, to supporting business owners in Haiti and Subsaharan Africa. I balance most of my time between my charity, Sacraspice, which leads intergenerational cooking workshops, and freelancing as a writer, videographer, and photographer.
